FedEx Express and FedEx Ground team members did more than transform the storage area at Foster Friends of North Carolina with paint and shelving – we helped the agency create a more normal childhood for foster kids in Guilford and Forsyth counties.

After a month of EarthSmart Outreach events in 7 cities, I am pleased at how much progress that our FedEx team members have already made in sustaining our communities nationwide.

Last week marked the celebration of a new era of reading and cultural enrichment for the students at Paint Branch Elementary School in College Park, Md., as FedEx volunteers placed finishing touches and unveiled the school’s newly revamped READesign® Reading Corner.

Recently, FedEx locations in Indianapolis, Pittsburgh and around the country may have looked more like a flower farm than a package sorting facility to visitors and employees alike. That’s because this week marked the company’s 15th year of support for the American Cancer Society’s annual Daffodil Days spring fundraising event – a time when millions of daffodil blooms are prepared, packaged and delivered by FedEx Express and FedEx Ground team members to donors in dozens of cities across 10 states nationwide.
