Last week marked the celebration of a new era of reading and cultural enrichment for the students at Paint Branch Elementary School in College Park, Md., as FedEx volunteers placed finishing touches and unveiled the school’s newly revamped READesign® Reading Corner.
Volunteers arranged books on shelves and assembled furniture in the freshly painted Reading Corner. After the unveiling, volunteers visited the classrooms to distribute take home books and read to the children... -

That’s because this week marked the company’s 15th year of support for the American Cancer Society’s annual Daffodil Days spring fundraising event – a time when millions of daffodil blooms are prepared, packaged and delivered by FedEx Express and FedEx Ground team members to donors in dozens of cities across 10 states nationwide.

Many folks don't know that FedEx ships zoo animals and livestock as part of our normal business. The staff that run our FedEx Animal Desk work the logistics on a daily basis. It seems like Lydia Petropoulus and Carolyn Frisch know more about how to do this right than anyone in the business. On the charitable shipping side, I work with them on rescue type situations when we feel it is appropriate.
